Always at an awkward age. Interpreter of life to those who find it strange. Rare and unusual. Food sums /graphs essential. Walks more than most.
I may not have worked directly with that particular colleague for four years now, but we can still pretty instinctively work together as a team to solve practical problems. Even the fence panel we thought originally wouldn't fit into the concrete posts was coaxed into place eventually. The other one fitted in beautifully.

Humph. Distinct lack of people at church this morning who might've been persuaded to come and help me replace fence panels after church today.

There were people at church... just not the ones I can sidle up to and ask if they could help me.

Ah well, colleagues with muscles who can be relied on to help with occasional tasks even I can't do alone will be called on instead!

I appear to have worn myself out after the bus strikes and printer problems back in March.

Either that or I'd been speaking my mind too openly, and getting myself Into Bother which has an effect of silencing me.

Yes, let's go for that one. I was avoiding Bother. But Bother is really ever present in my life so time to emerge from my self-imposed silence and nudge Bother back into its Proper Place.

After walking the three miles both to and from work during the local bus strikes this week with my relatively heavy work bag I had not planned to carry much in my backpack today, beyond picking up some replacement hypo snacks, as I wandered around. My preferred fend-off hypos snack was on special offer... So, work bag weight for another three miles again! That's 40 miles worth of commuting miles/errands miles with the work weight backpack!
Let us rejoice and be glad for whatever was causing my bookfold documents to print incorrectly I have somehow manage to solve. Here's hoping it remains solved as I have no idea which setting in which place I tweaked to find the solution.

Concluded the best use of this pre-bus strike weekend was to go out early to do a big shop then slump for the weekend, since walking both to and from work will be the only real option from Monday.

Except, I just missed the bus home, and in those circumstances, at that time on a Saturday, I'm faster walking home anyway...

Let's try and convince my brain it was another uphill training walk.

I may have some deeply confused colleagues to contend with on my return to work wondering what on earth I was doing wandering up and down their cul-de-sacs. It's my own fault for tackling that section of the A - Z later in the morning than I had intended, as the world was beginning to wake up a bit.

Still, they are the ones who know my propensity for walking, just not the current long-term walking challenges.

Slowly emerging from the end of term slump. A bit of a more dramatic one than in the past couple of years as some enforced in workplace socialising was reintroduced just as I was trying to finish off a few tasks before escaping. Ah well, the rest of my team were happy to Do As They Were Told before they escaped for their pre-planned socialising and I was glad I had already declared I was not joining that.
Can't see the rest of me in the dark because my fully reflective cross-body bag is too bright? Challenge accepted....

Apparently, this evening's bus driver couldn't see my arm held out because my cross-body bag's hi-viz was too "bright" + told me off for being dangerous.

This morning's bus driver + others have complimented me on my visibility at bus stops. As do the travel training team at my workplace.

This has strengthened my resolve to get a fully reflective jacket for dark mornings + evenings. Possibly a hat + trousers as well.

If vehicle headlights are going to dazzle me, I may as well do likewise.
