As we reach the mid-way point of SRT’s Stage Camp, I’m really enjoying the conversations I have had with caregivers around the core purpose of our drama programme; the child’s development.

Yes, we love it when our campers shine on stage, that can be a big part for some. But we also love watching the moment to moment developments, most of which are listed in the article by Trinity College.

Love this article- firstly it offers great insights into cognitive development for children through arts and crafts. But this is super transferable to performing arts activities.

Drama can supercharge self-esteem. The feeling of accomplishment when contributing ideas, being seen, creating a scene & speaking out loud with peers is an awesome source of self-worth & pride
