Two positions I believe, both pretty strongly:
1. LLMs -- deep learning in general -- is novel and weird and powerful and important. The world is becoming *much weirder* as a result, and we do not yet know how deep the rabbit hole goes; and
2. LLMs, as of today, are still quite limited and fall short of "human intelligence" in many ways; they are also relatively much better at "appearing intelligent" than "being intelligent," which makes them easy to overestimate
