And just to give a bit more context to what Eva is saying here, fedilore is very clear their gripes aren’t even about #TheBadSpace itself, but rather the visibility of Black folks trying to create community safety networks.

Here, they openly admit they’d have no problem with the project if they didn’t have to see it and and if Black folks kept quiet about it in our own circles, as if they own the fedi.

There’s a tenant of white supremacy culture that speaks specifically about white people’s need for comfort and how they try to enforce that in space that quite simply do not belong to them.

There’s zero reason to make this kind of statement unless one is fixated on what Black folks do in the fedi because one doesn’t want to see us here.

I talked a bit about the latest effort to start a harassment campaign against me over the weekend. Ha, I know, I know, but it pretty much happens every six months.

I’m fortunate because many people keep an eye out for lies people concoct about me and my work.

Another one came my way this morning by way of someone who I talked about over the weekend who has been targeting me since they created the account over a year ago.

Folks that have a problem with the project are constantly barking at me to take them seriously and saying they want to have honest conversations, but they just straight up lie. And lie about topics that are easily disprovable.

This is an example of why I dismiss critics of #TheBadSpace who engage in this behavior.

They don’t want a safer fedi. They just don’t want there to be a consequence for their hateful behavior and actions.

Oh, you mean the 'small furry instance' that actually came at me first that I responded to and their bigot friends got mad because I defended myself?

So if you’re wondering why I’m going at @tenderqueer so hard, it’s because they’ve been sending me sarcastic ‘support’ messages for a couple of days now, while openly mocking fediblock and siding with the admin of tech lgbt, David, who has been caught in multiple incidents of targeting Black led instances and breaching the trust of and antagonizing members of that instance that don’t agree with their constant nonsense.

I don’t know who tenderqueer is and I have never engaged with them before today.

It’s just another example of how people who swear up and down the are ‘progressive’ are just using language, labels and flags for camouflage.
