To be fair, Spotify gave lots of notice, just other priorities get in the way until that becomes an immediate priority!

Wife is off away for the weekend, leaving me with the little one, and I’ve had an insane week with both Spotify and Apple making breaking changes requiring immediate action. I’ve literally just finished pushing and production testing as she’s preparing to walk out the door. Feel like I need a beer already!
HOWEVER, while I was waiting for my new features to deploy, I deployed a #MachineLearning natural language classification model I’d built earlier in the week using #google #vertexai. If you’ve got training data ready, it’s a surprisingly easy, if slow, process. And it only bloody (mostly) works!

In 2021 I vowed to stop taking my bike to the repair shop and learn to fix everything myself. Inspired by that I’ve been trying to get better at repairing electronics. Repaired a few switches, smaller appliances, replaced a laptop keyboard. But today I replaced a screen and stripped a digitiser from another laptop. Whoop!
