NSure ✔I have some NRI ex-classmates. While they are rational folk, the majority aren't.
In their country of residence, they are Left Wing, want all benefits of minorities in that country, as they are the minority there.
When in India in their annual holidays, or when modi travels to their resident national on one of his trips to fuck up the Nation, they are rabid Right Wing. They want Muslims, Dalits and everyone else exterminated, coz back here, they are the majority!!
But honestly sometimes it's the same with Indians living in India. We all need to check our privilege and how it affects our worldview.
NRIs have been fed such a romanticised version of India and then they come on Twitter and open their mouth.

It reminded of an aspect of GoT I've always found fascinating. The author George R R Martin bases the people in his books on individuals and communities that existed in real life.
