I’ve had a couple of users report an issue with Scheme filtering recently. I have fixed this issue in the beorg code, and hope to have an update out soon.
@DrWhoZee I haven't heard of Cryptomator before. Did beorg allow you to select the folder in Cryptomator containing your org files? If it was greyed out the Cryptomator doesn't support sharing folders.
@jack I agree beorg can be a little clunky when it comes to note taking, the focus is definitely on the agenda and managing your tasks when away from Emacs. What changes would make beorg better for you in this respect?
A bug fix for yesterday’s beorg release is out today. This resolves an issue helpfully identified by a user with changes to dates not saving, if the date change was the only modification.
I've just had a bug reported with changing dates in the release that started rolling out earlier today. I have paused the rollout and will get a fix sorted ASAP. If you haven’t yet updated please hold off until the fix for this is out. 🐞 😨
There's a beorg update out today. It features the latest version of BiwaScheme (the scripting language inside beorg), and the ability to quickly clear dates in the item editor.
There's a beorg update out today: search bar added to Customize, option to guide future repeats and a fix for the "add search" button appearing when it shouldn't.
@dsmasterson currently the .org files created by beorg from the Calendar and Reminders do have tags for each entry as to the calendar/list they came from. Are you looking to have, for example, the ability to define a group “Family” and then specify which calendars and reminders lists belong to that group - and then have the entries have a property with that group name?
@dsmasterson there is a Scheme variable org-log-into-drawer which if you set to “LOGBOOK” should mostly match what Emacs does with state changes. If you have the beorg Customise extension you can also configure this from the UI.
🤔 If you'd like to know what takes place when beorg syncs your files, then my latest blog post is for you!
