Last year I looked into hosting Mason Bees in my yard. I never got around to it yet.
As compared to European Honey Bees, Masons are better pollinators and actually aren't an invasive species as opposed to EHBs. They are very docile but don't produce anything tangible we can exploit.

For folks in apartments or with small yards they're a great project and many resources are available online about how to make an area inviting to them.
