@Angelica still learning myself...seems the hardest part of signing up for Mastodon is finding a good instance that facilitates a good local timeline. Joining a larger instance at first and then moving to a smaller one seems like a good plan, but from what I've seen, moving instances is easy but not trivial.

@besttrousers I liked shitposting a lot too but it does seem antithetical to the culture Mastodon is trying to promote (for better or worse) :p
