Jon 🇳🇿As we honour those who fought, may we also honour those who refused to fight but still served. My grandfather was one of many Quakers / conscientious objectors who served in the Friends Ambulance Unit during WWI, repatriating the injured, dying and dead. In WWII, in the face of political indifference, Quakers played in integral part in the Kindertransport, moving 10,000 unaccompanied children into Britain after the horror of Kristallnacht in November 1938.
