But Malcolm truly became dangerous to the White establishment when he returned from Mecca and started talking about liberation and brotherhood across racial barriers (see also why the US government murdered Fred Hampton). Nothing is more dangerous to White supremacy than a charismatic figure who can bring people of all different kinds together as brothers and sisters to fight for our collective freedom. It's why the emphasis in the US, particularly for propaganda purposes, is always on individual freedom as being more important than collective freedom.
