I was shocked by the Nationals' announcement yesterday to campaign against the Voice. I see it as highly significant sign that they (and perhaps the Liberals will follow) have chosen which path they think will lead to re-election of the Coalition: to go harder right.

They've made the wrong call. They've misread the country, probably by listening to their fans in the media too much.

It's going to be dangerous for our vulnerable citizens, both those they will attract and those they will attack.
