Bittersweet morning in North Cambridge saying goodbye to Buchan St Community Centre and the old Meadows Centre. Excited for the new Meadows Centre and the new council homes, but sad to say farewell. So lovely to see a lot of former staff as well as community members, current staff, local councillors, Mayor and Mayoress Mark and Barbara and Deputy Mayoress, Jenny.

So moving to lay a wreath at the war memorial in Cambridge today in remembrance, in an inter-faith service, and to pray together to future peace. The extract on the card is from a WW1 poem by a woman poet, Nora Griffiths and summarises so well the tragedy of so many young lives lives cut short. Medals are my grandad’s (a conscript in WW2). #Remembrance

Amazing autumn colours out there today. And a great local rugby match too.
