‘The French people want to save us’: help pours in for glassmaker Duralex - Lemmy.World

Duralex glasses are beautiful. They have clear “made in France” at the bottom. We bought a few colourful ones back to England when we visited France last year.

That’s in part because DJI is the world’s largest maker of commercial drones, leaving firms with limited choice when it comes to procuring low-cost unmanned aerial systems.

I have been looking forward to a non-Chinese alternative for some time as I am quite interested in getting a drone…

City University may sue contractor over rooftop collapse as investigation report released

A committee investigating the rooftop collapse at the City University of Hong Kong has suggested seeking legal advice in anticipation of a possible lawsuit against contractors responsible for the structure. Any good smart power strip not made in China?

Any good smart power strip not made in China? - Lemmy.world

I’m looking for a smart power strip, which allows me to remote control and schedule on/off. Last year I bought Hey!'s smart power strip [https://heyimhome.co.uk/products/smart-power-bar]. Hey! is a UK brand, but turn out its products are just branded Chinese products. I used it anyway but it just bricked itself last month. For quality, safety, and security reasons, I would prefer a non-made-in-China smart power strip. Compatibility with Home Assistant is prefered, but not 100% required. I’m interested in switching to Home Assistant but I haven’t yet. Thanks for any suggestions! cross-posted: https://lemmy.world/post/4556320 [https://lemmy.world/post/4556320]

a book store with a café

This is easy because the tags don’t overlap.

shop=books amenity=cafe

a café by day and a wine bar by night

I saw something like this before, and they are usually two businesses with different names. I used two separated POIs (points) placed in the same building area to denote them. In this way, I can also put different names, opening_hours etc to the two POIs.

This is a longstanding issue that wheelmap knew and promised to solve.
