Finished the Skeleton King
Nosferatu (aka Abhorrent Archregent). A super fun model to paint after you take care of the massive gap right down the center of his head and face!
Working on the April free mini with my favorite limited palette of quinacridone magenta, cadmium yellow light and black and white.
Beast, man. This was the January free Warhammer mini. I removed all the modern sci-fi stuff because fantasy. Also gave him an axe from the Nurgle Putrid Blightkings box. The axe kinda became its own character.
A few more Scary Knight details. The axe has a lot of color in it. The skull “belt buckle” got a bit iridescent looking with the peach pink and greenish yellow so I ran with it. The boots read as brown but have little touches of green, purple, orange and pink. I used my usual palette as of late: titanium white, cadmium yellow, cadmium orange, quinacridone magenta, phthalo blue (green shade) and raw umber. Plus special guest appearances by Naphthol red light and pyrrole crimson.
Kinda forgot about Mastadon for a bit. Here’s a scary knight I painted.
August free mini of the month: Sir Chopalot. (WIP)
WIP: back to my usual shenanigans with the magenta/yellow/black/white limited palette. Really trying to push the illusion of blue by using gray in the faux iridescent gradient. This model has been a lot more fun to paint that I expected
