How to Make a Guy Fall for You – Romance Anime Manual - Star Trek Website
The album has 32 images – note that imgur doesn’t load all of them by default. I
might add even more screenshots to the album in the future. Feel free to
recommend me any other romance or romcom anime similar to the ones in this
album. Please send me any other examples of manga or anime, where the Christmas
gift [https://i.imgur.com/wdZSjaE.jpeg] is a scarf, a hat, gloves, or mittens.
---- I made this silly imgur album for Valentine’s Day 2025. I’m trying to leave
reddit, so I’m posting it one and a half months late on a Lemmy instance.

IRL Star Trek dialect of Tamarian language - Star Trek: Website
Tamarian language [https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Tamarian_language] has a
number of in-universe phrases, with “Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra”, “Sokath, his
eyes open”, and “Shaka, when the walls fell” being probably the most popular.
Which phrases would be in the language, if Star Trek was used the source for
myths and metaphors? Here are a couple of examples that I’ve either seen
somewhere else or came up with myself. - “Sisko, his plan thwarted.” – when
something is fake (scene [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6yQOs93Cgg] from “In
the Pale Moonlight”). - “Q’s present to Data” “Q’s gift to Data” – laughter
(from this scene [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLIU5tC3LAs&t=30s]) - A bunch
from the root beer scene in DS9 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bskhLaJYd8] (a
favorite of mine): - “Quark’s Kanar” – useless merchandise - “Garak drinks root
beer” – disgust - “Quark and his cousin’s moon” – envy - “Pulaski calling Data”
– mispronunciation (scene [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1tHYx_sr6o]) - “Kira
Nerys and pottery” – about a vocation or a hobby that is imposed on a person
(from her D’jarra in DS9 episode “Accession”
[https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Accession_(episode)]) - “Picard’s four
lights” – resiliency under pressure/torture (scene
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjKQQpPVifY]) - “Data is fully functional” –
sexual proficiency (scene [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHcN4Gm8tzM]) -
“Lieutenant junior grade Picard” – lack of ambition (TNG episode “Tapestry”
[https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Tapestry_(episode)]) What do you think of
these? I’d love to hear more examples. I’d also appreciate improvements in
wording, because some of the above are pretty awkward.
