Catan players, how do you feel about this setup?
Google results on my name. See if you can spot the web developer. 😆
When you have to write documentation for a simple feature.

@rasterinterrupt Totally simple. I have a private leaderboard which is a way for players to compete if they so choose, but generally keeps a record of progress in the group.

I've got a Discord server where players keep in touch, share progress, help each other out.

And generally we try to promote each other, and have fun. No cost, no commitment. Just devs who like puzzle solving!

@rasterinterrupt Hey, thanks for the mention here! It was really nice to get in touch with more people on Mastodon this year with Advent of Code.

I'm glad you enjoyed this year's event. Would you be interested in joining an organized group with a private leaderboard, Discord, etc in 2025?

Do you use AI on the weekend? It deserves time off too. You’d better get into that mindset because someday someone is going to start pushing AI rights.

Here are the final standings for my #AdventOfCode group, showing all players who scored at least one star.

Congratulations to @walkerb for taking second. I'm happy to have come in 10th with such good competition this year.

This year I kicked it up a notch, tied into the Advent of Code API, and produced some interesting data, including this chart showing the solve time for each player and each star for the event.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me this year. Next up: AoC 2025.
