@daniel_bohrer About Brubeck's words:

The problem was always. But before the accesses to the knowledge were more restricted and, had more value.

We call that shift a side-effect of industrialization (which made mass-culture highly profitable). But I tend to think that people decide not technologies, economics, and politics or money. The ideas in mind, in every person, they are first, the last is a consequence. In the past times, the culture was our tuning-fork.
And is it now?

@daniel_bohrer But the money example is more analytical, it doesn't sound like an even time signature, even having a rhythm section playing triplets.
@daniel_bohrer it is very interesting. I thought that I notice an even rhythm most of the time. I was wrong.
@mastsec maybe my English isn't good enough. By "application" I mean "use", not a software.
@mastsec corporate intranet sites, workers profiles e.t.c. I cannot name concrete use-cases but I think that they could be found.
@mastsec I do not trust Zoom. I am not an anarchist but I think that any monopoly is bad by definition. If that technology will be standardized and will be provided by thousands of companies keeping single address space it will become trustable, cheaper, and better.

I think that if the mastodon community really wants to make a distributed social networking approach popular it should try to invent an enterprise application for it: propose real-life use cases where the ability to move user accounts will become a value.
@daniel_bohrer from my point of view the whole project is really complicated and unintuitive; however it does the job.
