In the process of 'redesigning' the spare room where I usually work, which has involved selling my desk. So for a week - before the new desk is built - this is my working space. I already have back ache. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜‚
But I have to say sorry, the best thing about today was eating a whole Terry's Chocolate Orange.
Had four people from my product team attend my user research sessions today. Was really nice to be able to have that shared understanding with them and the discussion around changes felt so much more collaborative. Makes such a positive difference to how research can feel.

Trying to write a blog post to sum up 2022 - going back to user research, prioritising my life outside of work, and going to therapy.

It's currently a big old brain dump and not making a whole load of sense but just putting words down has been a realisation that it's been a big year.

Feel like I am mentally and physically dragging myself to Christmas break starting on Friday. Properly exhausted. Bring on the naps please.

Context switching is exhausting and miserable.
Because of this mood, today I have given zero fucks and it has been actually quite liberating. I will go back to being painfully empathetic and quiet tomorrow I'm sure.
I really do hate Mondays.
