Just learnt about `ksmbd`, a Linux kernel SMB server introduced in 5.15 and stable since 6.6—perfect for Raspberry Pi OS on 6.6. It enables faster Samba SMB file shares without needing `samba` and its heavy dependencies. Simple, efficient, and high-performance.

Biome v1.9 is out!

Today we celebrate both the first anniversary of Biome 🎊 and the release of Biome v1.9!
Read the post for a look back at the first year of Biome and the new features in v1.9.

In a nutshell:
- Stable CSS formatting and linting. Enabled by default!
- Stable GraphQL formatting and linting. Enabled by default!
- `.editorconfig` support. Opt-in
- `biome search` command to search for patterns in your source code.
- New lint rules for JS and its dialects.

Hah, today I learnt that the wireframe 'CGI' in Escape from New York, used for Snake Plissken to make a stealthy glider entry into the lawless prison island by air, was actually 'faked' by building a model of Manhattan covered in reflective tape. In 1981 this was the cheaper solution for a movie with limited budget

Really happy to see Godot 4.3 finally being out with numerous exciting improvements!
