January 1st walk, things rising and falling out of clarity in the bluster of snow.

Headed to town to watch the rain and read this brilliant repudiation of violence.

From today's Photo Diary:

Initially I thought this photo was kind of “off,” in a negative way. But today I’m appreciating the odd angle of approach. It seems to cause movement in my eye. At once it seems very vivid and clear, but also as if it’s not finished getting there.

My artist site is an actual functioning place.

@steven_sandner Really lovely
@DomImonk @jacques_demierre That must have been wonderful. I imagine that some of the subtleties are really special in a nice room. Bonne journée à vous aussi !
@nybooks Looking forward to this!
Staring at a tree without looking

This is an excerpt from a longer arrangement of words. It's a meditation on the recurring overwhelm of living in the Information Age. Rough mix.

Wow. I recently found @jacques_demierre on this platform using #experimental. I listened to my first full album yesterday, 'Deux Pianos' with Sylvie Courvoisier.

I can't really imagine improvising with another person in this way. There is so much space and patience—the silence is impressively confident. I've aspired to using silence holistically like this, but it remains an abstract hope. Hearing this music makes me see how it might be done.
