It's really this simple! As organizers we can work to require masking when we organize in-person events—including requiring masks outdoors when social distancing isn't possible. We have a responsibility to protect the most vulnerable in our communities!
Love to see that @bostondykemarch is requiring masks! This is how you make make events more accessible and include disabled and immunocompromised people! 😷

Love to see @geo3550 once again making clear they’re not okay with a contract that leaves disabled and immunocompromised grad workers and community members behind! Let’s show some solidarity on the virtual picket line!

Feeling really bummed today that AERA isn't requiring masks and that as a high-risk person I won't be able to attend in person. Requiring masks in conference venues just feels like such a low bar, and it hurts that conferences won't do even the bare minimum for disabled people

Gosh I’m struggling to think of any horror movies that take place in Illinois outside of like Halloween

If these barriers had existed when I was initially seeking diagnosis and treatment, I 100% would not have gotten through, and I don’t know where I’d be or how I’d be doing now
Relate to this so much. The pandemic obliterated my ability to do any work and be a functioning person, and it took two years before I was able to get an ADHD diagnosis and finally had access to medication that helped me start rebuilding my life
