jmcunxI think #linux was already heading in that direction, but I guess #ai will speed it up. From my perspective #linux is owned by large corporations and regular users are a very low priority.
There is always #NetBSD :) I am on 11.0 RC5 on a #T430 and it is working great, granted you have to pay attention to the hardware you use/find/buy. Plus #NetBSD seems to be dedicated to keeping old hardware out of landfills.

And yes, the AUR is comparable to a website which tells you to to curl https://foobar | bash or maybe even worse.
Check your packages on updates and keep the number as low as possible.
