@aleebrahim It’s a really cool study tool; like an always ready tutor. It can answer pointed questions in a conversation-like manner, and allows drilling down on details. Super helpful that way. It is producing polished text so it appears (overly) confident. Sometimes its wrong, but not too much.
If you ask it for citations it makes up papers, that’s problematic. But elicit.org does that part incredibly well and uses ChatGPT.
What suggestions did you have for your student?
Numerous university ranking systems directly or indirectly rely on research visibility and impact. So, research visibility and impact play a major role in university rankings. The visibility for high-quality research and publications is usually high. However, very few researchers may do high-quality research that causes them to receive well-known awards like the Nobel Prize. The majority of researchers are doing moderate-quality research, which needs to be promoted well for being visible and getting an impact in the future. To improve the visibility and impact of research, universities should focus on several strategies such as online profile building, networking and collaboration, effective publication and dissemination channels, and social media engagement. These strategies help researchers to enhance their visibility and impact of research that, in turn, helps in improving the ranking of universities. In this webinar, Nader Ale Ebrahim (A Research Visibility and Impact Consultant) explains how research visibility and impact influence university rankings, as well as presents various "Research Tools" to assist researchers and universities to promote and advertise their publications, thereby increasing their research visibility and impact.
