Oh great, my iCloud+ sub is about to get more expensive to subsidize AI users. #AppleKeynote
Oh thank god! No more margins around sidebars on macOS!
Well, that’s the closest Apple is ever going to get to saying “We fucked this up and are rowing back.”
It's a lovely day in the United States of Corruption!

I have argued this point in the past, as I'm sure many others, but it's nice to have a term for this concept: hobbyless behavior.

If I recall my last business ethics and compliance training at #Apple correctly there was something about corruption and not giving gifts to government officials, not even in countries where it’s „customary“ or „necessary“ to do so to do business…

Apple made a 24k gold and glass statue for Donald Trump

Apple CEO Tim Cook gave President Donald Trump a “unique” piece of glass from iPhone glass manufacturer Corning that’s set in a 24-karat gold base.

This is a pretty gross display by Tim Cook. What even is the point of being the head of one of the most influential companies on the planet if you spend even a minute of your time having to perform displays of obeisance like this?

I mean, really -- I have a lot of problems with people amassing the kind of wealth that Cook has, but it seems even more disgusting and pointless to have that kind of resources and still suck up to Trump.

The gift is a "unique unit of one," and commemorates an expanded commitment to U.S. manufacturing.

So what are everyone’s excuses for Tim Cook’s behavior this time?

Wake up. He’s an overt Trump supporter, and has been the entire time.

It's a real shame what Trump and his ilk are doing to our country. If only there were an independent authority of directly elected representatives, charged with protecting the core values of the country, who could keep him in check.
I don't usually post here, but just in case you are wondering: I am against all the fascism. Both of the festering kind and the more recently burgeoning variety.
