In #arch i used #aur to download some popular apps like brave-origin, vscodium, telegram, etc...
The massive hack on aur with 1500+ packages almost frightened me. The shell script provided by developers verified my system is clean.
After deep diving into it, i saw also around 10 months ago aur were hacked. Which is really preventing me from using it more...
Now my qn is should i have to stop using aur? or just install popular well maintained packages? or completely switch to #flatpak on arch?
I thought #GIMP was harder.
But as a complete beginner, I was able to crop a pic and add it to a background. Also, I added a reflection of the picture on the river.
Hope I can get well on GIMP as I try to do more stuffs.
I am not sure, but for me Instagram feels like a different world. An app built just for grabbing attention. Is it just me?
There is nothing educational, entertaining, or useful. The platform makes us unconsciously waste hours.
After months of struggle and emotion overloading, I deleted Instagram successfully and decided to never look back.
Considering FOSS and privacy-respecting options over convenience and dopamine loot. Hope everything will be alright.
Downloaded and installed Brave Origin on my Arch Linux. It is really debloated by removing the analytics and crypto things like Librewolf does on Firefox and is blazing fast.
I wish it came with pre-installed uBlock Origin like the Helium browser does.
