The thing they mean when they say "woke mind virus" is mostly the idea that women and brown-skinned minorities are not biologically inferior in one way or another to men and whites/asians and should be treated as equals.

They will actually say this out loud if you interrogate their claims or ask them to explain themselves in detail!

Someone asked ChapGPt to come up with 10 Commandments for the modern world. I could be guided by these principles. Perhaps a new religion is in order?

WHY WE'RE NOT POST-COVID

No, the pandemic is not over. The World Health Organization says we're still in a pandemic. WHO declared the public health emergency on 30 January 2020 and a pandemic on 11 March 2020, and it's the entity that gets to decide it's over--not you, me, or President Biden. Days ago, WHO held a meeting to discuss COVID, and it determined the pandemic remains a public health emergency of international concern.

WHO keeps highest alert over COVID three years on

Three years after COVID was first called a global health emergency, the World Health Organization (WHO) has decided to keep its highest alert over the disease.

For the most part, US police don't do what TV shows and the news tell you they do.

They don't run in schools to save children from gunmen.

They don't recover stolen goods.

They don't protect you from domestic violence before it happens.

They don't solve sexual assault cases.

What they do with all those billions of dollars is beat up poor Black folk and extract money from them through fines, tickets, court fees, unpaid prison labor, and theft.

That's the job. And it doesn't keep you safer.

The always brilliant James Baldwin in 1968:

[People in power] have made no attempt, whatever, any of them, as far as I know, really to explain to the American people that the black cat in the streets wants to protect his house, his wife and children. And if he is going to be able to do this he has to be given his autonomy, his own schools, A REVISION OF THE POLICE FORCE IN A VERY RADICAL WAY.

James Baldwin: White, by the way, is not a color—it's an attitude. You're as white as you think you are. It's your choice.

Esquire: Then black is a state of mind, too?

James Baldwin: No, black is a condition.

Esquire: Who among the white community can talk to the black community and be accepted?

James Baldwin: Anybody, who doesn't think of himself as white.

I want these measuring cups.
If you are triggered by pronouns, rainbows, and M&Ms, I can’t even… I mean, even ten years ago that would’ve been utterly incomprehensible. Things that upset rational people are cops killing unarmed black people, doing nothing to stop global warming, and rich people getting richer and poor people getting poorer, and Ticketmaster ripping of artists and live music fans.
