This year, I am grateful, above all, to the brave people of Ukraine for all their sacrifices and successes in the battle for freedom. They are fighting for the universal principles embodied in our own Declaration of Independence. https://bit.ly/3V0VxgX
Ukrainians are fighting for our freedom, too. They deserve our thanks.

The Ukrainians are reminding us how precious freedom is. For that I’m grateful.

The president who was youngest relative to the national population? Obama. Oldest? Reagan, but barely. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/11/22/biden-age-population-americans/?itid=ap_philipbump
Every time I get an “up to ____ percent off” sale email I think I get a small taste of what nonpolitical people feel like when they see a political ad. Gotta fish for the truth somewhere on their site.

The Supreme Court’s legitimacy derives from its remove from politics. That’s why justices are appointed for life.

That it is now dripping with partisanship while remaining free from accountability is not a good shift.

The Supreme Court has lost the benefit of the doubt

Confidence in the institution has collapsed as it acquires the same partisan taint as the other branches of government.

Another win for the Democrats and voting rights 🎉

What happened was this: In 2021, Georgia Republicans passed a law shortening the early voting period. Only one Saturday remained for early voting in the runoffs.

Secretary of State Raffensperger said early voting can't be held that day because state law says it is illegal on a Saturday if there is a holiday on the Thursday or Friday preceding it.

Hakeem Jeffries will lead. McCarthy will follow.

The likely Democratic leader will have the advantage in the coming session.
