Hi Mastodon Community đź‘‹ - I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Know anyone who needs an iOS engineering subject matter expert?
Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer. In the meantime I’m back to being an indie developer! 🎉 #OpenToWork #iosdevelopment #visionos #swiftui #mobileappdevelopment #engineeringmanagement

Been struggling mightily with the self-promotion game these days, so allow me to frame this as more of an “I appreciate you” post:

Today, the 100,000th Up Ahead event was created 🎉 I’d love for that number to look relatively small in a year or two, but for now, for me, that’s a big, wild number. Looking forward to attending a presentation by @dimsumthinking at Indy CocoaHeads tomorrow.

Starting off the week with less-than-fun news: I got laid off last week. Long story short, I’m looking for my next role in design leadership. I’d appreciate any leads or boosts for visibility. Thanks!

All packed and ready to head to Chicago first thing in the morning for @DeepDishSwift.

🎉 My article on automating Swift CLI releases got featured in the latest issue of iOS Stack Weekly!

iOS Stack Weekly — Issue #67 - Canopas

Apple introduced a brand new CoreTransferable framework and ShareLink view in SwiftUI, allowing us to share and export content from our apps very declaratively. Recently, many of my friends have been…

I upgraded to Xcode 14.3 and immediately noticed some different behavior with SwiftUI. In particular, navigationSplitViewColumnWidth no longer enforces a minimum value on macOS 13.3, which for my use case, was a pleasant surprise. I didn't see any mention of this in the release notes. Is there a comprehensive list of changes to SwiftUI in this latest release?
