Deviator looks like a discount Hollow Knight knockoff, but the mechanics are sufficiently different to make it stand out on its own. Combat is based around parrying and riposting (which is much more powerful than regular attacks) so its important to get the timing right (that's tricky enough with one opponent; I'm currently stuck in a boss fight with multiple enemies at the same time). To compensate, you get more starting health, platforming is easier (you automatically grab ledges), and can use save points to store money early on.
