[xfce4 linux mint] i think this is the ultimate modification of xfce so that it can be used by elderly people and children and pretty much anyone without any knowledge of computers and want to use one
i made the icons bigger now so that no one loses sight of them and they are just one click away!! any icon, and it’s divided between two panels, reminiscent of gnome2, classic gnome2. and it is in light mode, if i made a distro and added xfce, i would make so many changes!! like light mode only (for elderly and visually impaired and people who like reading a lot, that is me yea) and big icons so that everyone knows what’s going on.
this is how linux would look like if it were more user friendly!!
i know that linux depends on desktop environments to display things such as icons, mouse cursors, etc. but this time i’m using xfce and modifying a bit so that it looks bigger and has bigger icons and two huge panels!! this is made for elderly people and visually impaired people. i think this has already been made by gnome and xfce has a lot of accessibility options, but i think there should be a desktop environment that is very user friendly, extremely user friendly, like gnome but way easier!! kind of like “sugar”, the desktop environment used by the old “olpc xo-1” laptop, but for all ages.
[xfce] linux mint, modified a bit so that it can be used by elderly people and people who don't know a lot about how to use a computer. ease of use, accesibility
when will gimp 3.0 get updated on the linux mint (or ubuntu!! or whatever linux mint uses) package manager??
the furriest room ever i think so!!
only classic linuxers will recognize this logo..
xfce logo remade by me using inkscape and gimp on gnu/linux mint!
fediverse: new idea of a federated service inspired by short video social media tiktok
please hear me out fediverse!! this new service of the fediverse could be called “kniknak” and it could be similar to tiktok in the sense that it shows you short videos and comments and etc, but the main differences are the following: 1. connected threads of the whole fediverse, even regular posts on mastodon could become a short video 2. open source, decentralized, of course 3. comments are shown as threads instead of a regular comment section since it’s connected to the fediverse. also i can remake the logo on inkscape and it would look even better, that’d be so awesome
graphic design is so awesome when you're a furry
