I'm not a fan of mastodon search ... it feels super limited vs twitter. What's the best way to find topics... hashtag searching seems a bit hit and miss even.

It's really hard at this point with apple to NOT be using a 'desktop laptop' configuration.

Almost nobody needs the jump between a high-spec laptop and say the studio/upcoming mac pro. Having a build-in / extra screen and the portability is hugely valuable.

it's a topic i see a lot of @atpfm - traditionally I've sided with @siracusa .. but I'm in the laptop camp now.

MacBook Pro + XDR + a GOOD TB4 hub/dock (most are bad) is my setup of choice now.
