in most cases, any one album has a couple of songs i enjoy and those singles can be listened to alone, divorced from the album as whole. i'm quite certain i often forget those songs ever existed (unless i fall head over heals with them).

sometimes, the songs flow so nicely one after another that i always go for the album as a whole. as someone who cares more about the melody and the dialogue of the instruments, that's what i look for. there are times i would appreciate to hear the words and block their meaning, forgetting the language all together. in these cases, even if the mood strikes just once every couple of years, those albums stay with me.  

and every once in a while, there's a gem. an album that flows well and has a story i enjoy following when i have the spoons.  

"the 2nd law" is the second and third case. i love it. i can't even imagine going for one specific song. i don't think i even know their individual names. they will always be "the 2nd law".
(yes, yes. i am fully aware most people don't share my love of this album. haha.)

...it might also be because i listened to it for the first time as a teen. this whole monologue has a certain familiar emo vibe to it.

i don't think i could ever have the heart to cut into something like a needlepoint or a tapestry, even if it was in pieces and i could give it a new life.

that said, i find this whole project immensely inspiring. i could try strengthening the wings with something like boiled wool and shape them with pad stitching. i would fill the body with a mix of fabric scraps too small for even something like english paper piecing and tiny leftover pieces of yarn and thread. my friend even came up with the idea of using lavender flowers for the filling and make a bed plushie moth for better sleep (the czech word for nightmares is literally translated as "night moths"). or it could be in a tiny version in the closet, protecting its fabric inhabitants against clothes moths.

it's a sweet m/m romance manhwa between a cinnamon-roll country-bumpkin farmer and a big city pretty rich boy who's lost. the rich guy was pressured into studying law after his father gave him an ultimatum: continue dating a man or do your beloved music. it has real strong summer vacation vibes. i also loved the art. it has a certain sweetness to it as well.

my notes say that the main story has no explicit smut if you're sensitive to that. i also noted that the side story chapters do but i have no idea where i read those.
