I missed it by a day, but 1 year ago on July 7th I officially opened up Sizecraft for public sign-ups. While the thrill of a new service and the excitement of exploring the fediverse may have died down, I'm surprised at how many active users we have.

This upcoming weekend I will be reevaluating some of the federation limits I have placed on other servers during the ban wave, and possibly adding the current blocklist to this instance.
I'd love to continue my policy of not having any federation limits at all in this server, but for the moment, ActivityPub doesn't have any tools to deal with spam beyond federation limits.
I also will be considering using https://github.com/Mastodon-DE/blocklists if the problem persists.

On February 15th, newly-created Fediverse accounts started posting spam messages from various instances, sending invites to a Discord server for a Japanese troll organization.
