The stickers made it to Brisbane! Thank you
@ThinkstCanaryHappy World Bee Day! I am sure it is still 20/5 somewhere on the planet. The main main highlight for this year's bee photography activity is having a few male Amegilla sp (aka Blue Banded Bee) roosting/sleeping at night in the backyard.
Back in Bhutan! Nice view from RTC (Royal Thimphu College)

The last time I was here was back in 2019. Great to see old friends and made some new ones. Here's a shot of some old shops in Thimphu.
I saw this Megachile sp. (Leaf cutter bee) moving in to the 'premium' bee hotel (vs the $2 paper straw motel) 2 days ago yay!

So yes, the bees are back! This Lasioglossum leichardti has been observed almost daily pollinating the eggplant. As a bonus, I found their nesting site in the garden as well.
I was in Ulanbataar, Mongolia last week for a conference + workshop. Long trip but definitely worth it. As a bonus, I got a room with a nice view of the city (minus the dirty window).
I have mixed feelings about doing international travels again. The good thing about it is that I can do photography and justify my mostly vintage lens collection. Here's a recent one taken at Changi Airport in Singapore.
So I finally did my first trip abroad since the pandemic started. It was for attending the FIRST.org annual conference in Dublin, Ireland. A bit of an adventure going there but overall everything was smooth. I was happy to be able to do a bit of photography with friends as well. This shot is taken inside the old library at Trinity College.
