Example 999,996 why the real estate industry is crap. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/11222-Dilling-St-North-Hollywood-CA-91602/20025974_zpid/

Listed for $5.5M, sold for $3.2M. Agent totally screwed up the listing price, possibly cost the sellers 100s of thousands by not listing at $4M, walks away with a cool $100K commission anyway.

Oh, did the NFL season start last night? Can remember a season with less lead up. Probably the lack of any summer TV with the writers strike and spending less time on social media.
Not that it made much sense during the height of the pandemic, but now that masks are optional almost everywhere, I really don’t get people who wear a mask that doesn’t cover their nose just their mouth. I guess that protects others a bit but I don’t think that’s their thinking.

Lord do I wish describing a person with an elite skill set, usually an athlete, as "a better person than he is player" would die.

You'll literally talking about someone who's in the top 1000 (or even top 100) people in the world at what they do. Nowhere near that great a person.

I know opinions vary on crypto and not looking to start a debate, but the fact that 90% of the spam I get is cyrpto-related doesn't give me a warm feeling about the space.
TIL, Greenwich is GMT+1, at least in the summer. 🤦🏼‍♂️
If you're sending job application rejections on a federal holiday (today), your work-life boundaries are so poor, I wouldn't want to work there anyway.

Wow, DoorDash has an impressive model, which reminds me why I generally pick up food myself.

First they bump the price of every item a buck or two, then they charge a delivery fee (of course), then there’s a service fee, then they suggest you tip very generously.

I don’t know the RIGHT amount to tip a delivery driver, but it’s not 20% of the order.

Major pet peeve.

Host: So our format is 15 minutes to present and then 10 minutes for Q&A

Speaker: No problem, I'll take less time than that.

<20 minutes later> OK, what questions do you have?

Always time your presentation ahead of time and figure 10% buffer for the actual. Also don't promise to be quick and then not do so.

14 years ago yesterday I joined Twitter. Yesterday I deleted all of my Tweets (or at least attempted to). It's been a fun ride.
