[email protected] All joking aside - that is actually pretty good numbers. The big channels - mostly Linux tech channels - can sometimes break into thousands and usually are in the 100s. But dozens of views is pretty good for PT at this stage. There's also a few breakout videos getting more, and I've seen some French videos even reaching 100k and more, but that's mostly from a few years back and looks to have been established creatives/influencers/projects that tried out PeerTube for a while, probably embedding their videos on an external, well-frequented website.
It's right between 1 Million Pounds and "Ideas", so I guess - a one million pound idea? (That I will be unable to make reality :D )
Whoops, the subtitles got mixed up somehow. They are showing the ones from the JayZ reaction one for me as of this comment.

Is this a re-upload of an old video? The topic is still important and the situation is overall still ongoing, but the petition has ended already with ~1.4 million signatures.
Look, look, I am internet famous now, a streamer mentioned me live on stream :D
I can understand feeling a bit weird at first with this being essentially a clone of a proprietary franchise - but the underlying engine is indeed true FOSS as you pointed out (as are, as far as I know, sound, music and the adventure mode art), and the engine has some really impressive stuff. What impresses me the most is the AI. Yeah, it sometimes makes stupid mistakes, it often overvalues or undervalues cards, doesn't always do the correct move..... but the fact it can dynamically handle basically whatever cards you put into its hands, with as far as I know little to no deck-specific scripted AI, blows my mind. For a game as complex as MtG, having anything that can provide somewhat of a challenge with dynamically reacting to decks and cards is damn impressive.
Sad to hear the streaming issue still persists - here's hoping it will be settled soon. If this is really due to Meta AI scraping, as PoVoq speculated in chat there, that would indeed be frustrating.
If you do end up developing your own card set and overall game on basis of the engine - that might actually a project I'd love to contribute a bit to, health permitting. Java is actually a language I have some experience in, too. (But that is from many years ago.)
I had been sleeping on feed apps, as in: I didn't even realise there already were several of them. But the concept always felt to me like a natural development for Fedi services. Great talk!

[email protected] Yeah, Forge is really great, tickles my MtG nostalgia in good ways - excited for the coming stream! If you do want to migrate, just hop up over whenever, I'll be away from home a few days, so I might end up being slow to answer stuff then, but I will check if you appear and add you to the trusted users if you do.
