anyone have a preferred version of the count of monte cristo in english? went looking for my copy and can't find it, and looks there are about a bazillion different annotated versions out there, but also that the original might be like 1800 pages long?! def not the copy i had, and now i'm curious! #books #bookstodon

i know i can't change my un on here and how difficult it would be in order for that to happen. least favourite thing about mastodon, but also? not really an awful thing. watching tumblr almost nuke itself (again) this week made me more appreciative for places like this existing.

made my first teeny tiny linocut last month at a friend's art studio. something really pleasing about slicing into a block and carving out details. would def try again

really excited to have gotten my first linux laptop! a learning curve after a decade and a half of 🍎, and depending on cloud storage. really hoping this is a tool that will help me regain some digital agency and refresh/build some fun skills.

We are 6 years into the pandemic. 3 COVID shots don't make you "fully vaxxed." Even if you have gotten the maximum number of boosters that you're eligible for, with a minimum of one per year, you're not COVID-safe if you're not masking with a respirator.

And if, like most people, your immune system and overall health are degraded from multiple COVID infections, you're more prone to carrying around other infections and more susceptible to getting ill from them.

I'm so tired of the delusions.
