Employee of a state-owned enterprise.

At work, I try to make linear algebra routines faster.

At home, I have half-baked thoughts about transit and urbanism and stuff

A few weeks ago this sign said 45. I am partly responsible for the change.

Two years ago a driver killed a neighbor of mine in a nearby intersection. I badgered a bunch of city, county, and state traffic engineers and elected officials and they eventually made this mostly meaningless change (nobody follows the speed limit anyway, what we need is a better road design).

Still, it happened, the sign is there, maybe it makes the world very slightly better and I am very slightly proud of it.

The engineers have been busy in my neighborhood.
