Update from later in the day in MSP:
I’ve heard or uttered variations on the phrase “I’ll believe it when I see it” in numerous conversations through out the day. That seems to be the prevailing sentiment. People are willing to be hopeful, but nobody’s counting their chickens just yet.
Within the next couple weeks I'm going to publish an iOS/iPadOS app that is focused on quick entry for Notion databases. I've hesitated to release it because it's been primarily coded by LLM agents but as a software engineer for the last decade (just not in Apple dev) I believe it has turned into a pretty solid app :)
I have decided I am going to release it because I want to donate 100% of the profit to local MN orgs standing up to ICE for (at least) first 6 months it is out. It's also neat.
This morning, ICE was staking out an elementary school bus stop here in Minneapolis. A crowd with whistles chased them off.
Just in case you somehow thought they were leaving Minnesota.
Just in case Senators somehow thought maybe it’s OK to give them a military-sized budget after all just because they demoted that one guy.

January started as normal as can be expected when malicious grifters start making basic decency a radical idea. It turns out the anxiety associated with these political events would be the least of my problems throughout the year. It felt great to finish up a 12 month project and release the first version of Tapestry. […]
@marcoarment I love that the top comment on this /r/Apple post immediately brings up that you'll be happy about this news :D
