40M crystal band pack from John at 3rd Planet Solar. Fun times ahead!
My tribute to the 4096 beacon cluster. Ugly construction, with the exception of a MePAD for the IC. 51 ohm resistor for the dummy load. (This little feller ain't going on the air!) Made 18 months ago, board not lacquered, and still not looking too bad.
I assembled this handsome kit from NM0S Electronics the other day. A former 4SQRP kit, it measures power and VSWR from 0.1W up to about 15W. The PCB case is sharp-looking!
Holy moly. Take a gander at this wonderful homebrew direct conversion receiver, that almost looks factory-produced (photo by Mattia Zamana) -

YouTubeI resurrected my homebrew WSPR TX and have been running it on 20M for the last couple of days, into a random longwire of around 50 feet, tuned against ground. It's getting out well. Looking at all the spots, I can't help thinking how great it would be if WSPR was used uniformly all over the globe. The spots would be a lot more interesting. It would be great to see multiple spots from the Middle East, many African nations, and all the other interesting out of the way places on the globe.
The joy of old things, and of finding 100 year-old cloth headphone cord in good condition.........
