Well this somehow got me to finally join the membership
I wrote an op-ed for TechCrunch (it's been a while since my byline showed up there) about MrBeast's "let's cure blindness" video and how it's decidedly more ableist and altruistic.
My friends and peers in tech media may appreciate accessibility, and I think "accessibility is for everyone" gets overused without fully understand what a11y truly is, but society writ large could give two shits about disabled people like me. Hence, the desire to "cure" us.

I never was a fan of Helvetica for Wordle. The new font is a big improvement for me.
The New York Times changed the Wordle font today. It’s now their house version of Franklin Gothic.
The original Wordle web code specified Clear Sans as the intended font — but the font file wasn’t included on the website, so nearly nobody ever saw it. Instead, iOS and Mac users saw Helvetica Neue (see screenshot, left), Windows got Arial, and Android got Roboto.
As a Helvetica enthusiast, I’m bummed, but the Times nailed the design update. [cc @gruber]
