I like horror movies and Doctor Who. Atheist. Opinions belong to my evil twin.

As Biden dedicates a monument to Emmett Till, remember that his horrific 1955 lynching isn't ancient history.

Today 18 members of Congress are older than him & the white woman Carolyn Bryant who got him lynched just died this April—all without ever facing a lick of accountability.

Till's story is not ancient history—it's contemporary reality.

The Master of the Antwerp Adoration (active 1500 – 1520) was a Flemish painter in the style of Antwerp Mannerism, whose compositions are typically filled with agitated figures in exotic, extravagant clothes. His notname is from this work showing the Adoration of the Magi (1519). Little else is known. Despite various attempts to match him to recorded names of artists of the time, a leading scholar described the question of his identity as "still up in smoke".

Want the truth about slavery? Then listen to the words of two Vice Presidents: Kamala Harris and the VP of the Confederacy. Harris point blank explains the horrors of it. While the VP of confederacy point blank explains that slavery was about white supremacy. My article https://deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/vp-kamala-harris-and-the-vp-of-the

These efforts to “expunge” Trump’s impeachments and to hold hearings to impeach Biden make it clear who is pulling the strings: The Former Guy. A vote for the GOP is a vote for Trump because they’re all just his puppets now.

The situation at the Texas border continues to be deeply alarming. Governor Greg Abbott's inhumane measures, targeting innocent migrants, demand immediate attention. We cannot stand idly by while razor wire traps, water withholding, and dangerous pushbacks endanger vulnerable lives, including children and infants.

This must end.

Join me in demanding that President Biden step in and put an end to these cruel tactics. Let's make our voices heard: https://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/806/513/820/?TAP=2430&source_id=TexasMigrants

Don’t debate Trumpers over whether trump attempted a coup or incited the Jan 6 attack. Simply ask them assuming trump did both things, would you still support him? The answer is yes. We know that. This is what a fascist movement looks like. This is not a drill. It’s FASCISM.

July 25 - the birthday of Thomas Eakins (1844-1916) - American #realist painter, photographer, sculptor, and fine arts educator. Eakins was a controversial figure whose work received little recognition during his lifetime. Since his death, he has been celebrated by #American art historians as "the strongest, most profound realist in 19th- and early-20th-century American art".
