To my mind, amongst the triumvirate of bizarre beings (the others the Flatwoods Monster and the Yahoo), West Virginia's Mothman reigns over them all as an agent of American high strangeness. This paranormal provocateur became symbolic of a cascade of weird occurrences culminating in the Silver Bridge tragedy.

The best Thanksgiving tradition, even before Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day Marathon, has been a marathon of King King and Godzilla movies.
It all goes back to New York City’s WOR-TV Channel 9 and a six-hour marathon television broadcast. Via physical media and/or streaming, I and many others continue that Holiday film festival tradition.
@2cc Well, have you seen the documentary Virginia Creepers: The Horror Host Tradition of the Old Dominion? Virginia Creepers covers the horror hosts of that area (including Count Gore De Vol and Bowman Body, to name two).

The world recently (November 3rd, 2022) celebrated Godzilla Day - the 68th Godzilla Anniversary of Godzilla (1954). Toho announced a new movie with a release date of November 3rd, 2023.
