Goddammit, why we can’t have more of this heroism today?
$7.49 Portland, OR
As great as this is, I honestly only think this is an article because it’s a uniquely named city. Been there numerous times, it’s a shit hole town in the middle of nowhere packed full of racist bald headed junkies that has had me more concerned for my safety than anywhere else in the country. But the name is pretty! That will get us clicks!
Logitech doesn’t put their software to Linux, but all my Logitech dongles and wireless devices worked fine, just couldn’t change their settings. But, there’s this software that does everything you need and actually works better than Logi Options+ imo.

Love that you Kagi’d the answer!
Just wanted to drop this update in here for anybody going through this now: I finally got a job offer, but it took over 1700 total applications, and 11 months! I hope you have some luck in finding something since your original comment!

When I was 16 I had my first job at a shitty fast food restaurant, and on the first day my manager told me, "The difference between a good job and a great one is often just a couple minutes "

20 years later It still pops into my head whenever I’m working on a project, or work task, or even just stuff around the house. Usually it’s right when I’m about to quit or give up and call it “good enough”. And for the most part, I’ve found it to be true.

I am actually experiencing this as well, noticed it happening in LinkedIn and Otta. Specifically when clicking the “Easy Apply” button. Seemed related to modal pop-ups to me but couldn’t track down why.
I think Mailspring does what you’re looking for. Used it for a while and enjoyed it, but recently just switched to the Proton desktop client.

Mailspring: The open-source, extensible email app for Mac, Linux, and Windows with open tracking, link click tracking, contacts enrichment data and more.

700+ applications and multiple recruiting companies later and still only 3 interviews since May. With almost a decade of software development experience. It’s actually a little reassuring that I’m not alone here and it’s not just a problem with me. Best of luck in your search friend!
