@IU5FHO It is also known as the Octopus antenna. The base has a standard VHF connector and 8 hamsticks can screw into the base to give you a 4-band dipole.
Question for more experienced hams: Why does FT4 not enjoy all the attention FT8 does? It's much shorter cycles so you can reach more people quickly. Some clarity on this would be appreciated. I know it's used in contests, but I like it a bit more.
It is not much, but everybody has to start somewhere. It works for me -- for now at least. The two hamsticks on there are the 20m MFJ rated for 250 W PEP. I worked about 15 countries with them so far on FT8.
