The Data Duplication Village had a table for #DCNextGen again this year! Plenty of hackers in training came and solved our crypto challenge, and earned some points! It was a lot of fun walking the younger ones through those challenging. And some of those kids were crazy smart and figured out our custom encryption challenge without much help! I can’t wait to see where they’ll end up!

Thank you to all of you, working behind DCNextgen behind the scene, for all your work and organizing the challenges! Y’all rock!

#defcon was a blast this year. Data Duplication Village delivered over 3.3PB of data to the community in under 3 days (Thu 3p to Sun 11a)! If you missed out, or if you were one of the unlucky whose drive didn’t get processed or drive failed, don’t despair, all of it is available on https://infocon.org/

If you want to get the data next year, check the dc forums a few weeks ahead of dc34 for our post with the drive sizes, and come early to drop off your drive! We received over 560 drives this year!

Find out more about what we did, how we do it, stats, and how you can support the village, by visiting our website:

See you all next year!
