There was a Hyde at Nevermore in the early ’90s: François Galpin. Tyler’s mother. She hid her nature from everyone – even Morticia and Weems.

She wasn’t violent. She was scared. And that’s what terrified the school most: a Hyde could blend in. Stay invisible. Be anyone.

Hydes don’t transform on instinct. They need someone to activate them. And once a male Hyde is activated, they obey.

A student like that isn’t just unstable. They’re a weapon waiting to be used – by someone else.

But we know this: Hydes were banned. Not supervised. Not helped.
Just erased. Even after attacks by werewolves and sirens, only Hydes were considered unredeemable.
