I saw what looked like a great deal on Discworld books on Humble Bundle. I thought that it was an offer to let me buy copies of the books, but they were selling a DRM ghetto-ized license to read the books on a Kobo.
It is still a good deal, but I’m really annoyed that I didn’t get what I expected.
@zippy1981 the exceptions are bots that are quite noisy. I’m trying very hard to stay focused due to my time commitments and responsibilities associated with caring for family members.
@thesiswhisperer my social media use has tanked over the last year because of caring for my wife after her heart attack and stroke. I still have my Twitter accounts, but they are dormant. I expect to return to social media at some point here on Mastadon, but when I do return I will probably use it very differently than I did in the past.
I’m going to guess that this text and picture aren’t meant to be presented together!
I just stumbled across this toot/article by @MikeElgan and it appears to be true. In light of the recent New York indictment I’d like to see more coverage of this story.

Legislators seem to yearn to teach. Sometimes their IQ surges into double digits as individuals, but almost never as a collective. I think that @QuantumDot2 described it nicely, blue polka dots (spelling intentional) on a red background. @pmpjr probably knows what I’m thinking but won’t publish!
