This is an understandable concern and was certainly not the intent to make users feel unsafe or less welcome. We are going to look at adding something to cover this.

The currently Lemmy UI doesn’t have that capability however Kbin shows who upvoted. You can also see the number of up/down votes a post has through certain apps such as Memmy.
